En su propuesta como cantora-investigadora ha realizado m\u00faltiples registros etnogr\u00e1ficos, video cr\u00f3nicas, escritos, talleres y conferencias que comparte con p\u00fablicos diversos, y que han llenado de motivos sus composiciones.<\/p>\n

Su Historia<\/h2>\n

Martha Elena Hoyos es una cantora esencial. Una viajera de las ra\u00edces sonoras de Am\u00e9rica, que ha recorrido desde M\u00e9xico hasta la Patagonia, camino donde ha ido tejiendo su voz con \u201clas m\u00faltiples voces que la habitan\u201d. Por eso ha hecho del canto del Continente una vibraci\u00f3n sonora que se interna en su decir profundo al interpretar o crear un bambuco, una baguala, un torbellino, una cumbia o una zamba.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Este es el camino de esta artista integral que canta, pinta, dise\u00f1a, escribe, gestiona, produce, y trenza en su andar fraternidades que se encuentran en escena, en espirales cantores, en las vivencias de festivales y carnavales que enriquecen el alma y el sentido de ser y hacer arte.\u00a0 Ha sido tambi\u00e9n una promotora del canto colectivo, porque comprende la voz como un instrumento sanador e integrador de la vida.<\/p>\n

Martha Elena lleva en el alma la herencia coplera que viene desde sus tatarabuelos y m\u00e1s atr\u00e1s; la huella de su abuelo tiplero que le ense\u00f1\u00f3 el zurrungueo del bambuco, y el amor de una abuela que recitaba sonetos, desgranaba jitanj\u00e1foras y escrib\u00eda maravillosas cartas.<\/p>\n

Es autora de cientos de coplas, decenas de versos, y compositora m\u00faltiples canciones de proyecci\u00f3n folkl\u00f3rica latinoamericana, donde se atreve a recrear ra\u00edces y proponer fusiones, desde la vivencia misma de cada geograf\u00eda sonora que la enriquece a su andar, y la pinta de colores con sus monta\u00f1as verde azul, la profundidad de las selvas, el horizonte de llanos y esteros, el oleaje del mar.<\/p>\n

Martha Elena Hoyos, -Mujer Am\u00e9rica- ha grabado 74 obras que integran repertorio propio y obras de exquisita selecci\u00f3n del repertorio latinoamericano. Sus \u00e1lbumes, de original dise\u00f1o, est\u00e1n ilustrados de relatos, cr\u00f3nicas de viaje y reflexiones sobre las investigaciones realizadas.\u00a0 En sus canciones, Martha Elena da rienda suelta a la imaginaci\u00f3n creadora, como en el caso de sus hero\u00ednas cantadas, donde funde historia y leyenda, con la mirada de su alma despierta e intuitiva que sue\u00f1a una mejor humanidad.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s de su propia canci\u00f3n, ha musicalizado obra de m\u00faltiples poetas como Aurelio Arturo, Luis Vidales, Carmelina Soto, Meira del Mar, Maruja Vieira, Dolores Castro, \u00c1gueda Pizarro, Marga L\u00f3pez, Fernando Urbina, Martha Luc\u00eda Usaqu\u00e9n, Carlos Alberto Castrill\u00f3n, Meira Delmar, una tarea donde le apasiona hallar la canci\u00f3n que revela el poema, y donde cuenta con un repertorio que pasa de los cincuenta \u201cPoec\u00e1ntaros\u201d, como Martha Elena llama a sus poemas musicalizados.<\/p>\n

Martha Elena hace parte del grupo editor Agenda Mujer Colombia, desde su creaci\u00f3n en 1996, y es la autora del personaje de caricatura Mayra. Es una din\u00e1mica conferencista y tallerista y directora cultural de la Fundaci\u00f3n Am\u00e9rica en mi Piel, que creara en 2011.<\/p>\n

Agenda Mujer Colombia es otro de los proyectos en los que Martha Elena Hoyos trabaja desde 1996, al lado del Colectivo editorial “Las Siete”. Se trata de un
libro-agenda que, cada a\u00f1o y con mucha poes\u00eda, entrega propuestas de vida, acompa\u00f1a el empoderamiento y promueve la conversaci\u00f3n en torno a sus propuestas. Agenda Mujer ha sido tambi\u00e9n una escuela de escritura para sus autoras y para muchas mujeres que proponen sus textos, reflexiones, horizontes. Integra adem\u00e1s la palabra po\u00e9tica de muchas mujeres de Colombia y el mundo.<\/p>\n

POEC\u00c1NTAROS es una propuesta de poes\u00eda hecha canci\u00f3n, que Martha Elena Hoyos comenz\u00f3 a sembrar en 1992, cuando realiz\u00f3 desde la Fundaci\u00f3n Hispanoamericana de Cali, un especial homenaje al poeta gaditano Rafael Alberti.
Entonces present\u00f3 un recital donde se integr\u00f3 a la poes\u00eda de Alberti, m\u00fasica, im\u00e1genes y teatro, en un novedoso performance cultural.<\/p>\n

M\u00e1s adelante, su sensibilidad la acerc\u00f3 a\u00fan m\u00e1s a la poes\u00eda de Carlos Castro Saavedra, as\u00ed como a la del gran Aurelio Arturo, autor de quien Martha Elena ha musicalizado poemas que cant\u00f3 por primera vez en 2005, invitada por el Festival Internacional de Poes\u00eda de Cali, cuando se cumpli\u00f3 el Centenario del poeta Aurelio Arturo.<\/p>\n

En lo sucesivo, muchos autores y autoras han enriquecido este repertorio de poemas alados en la voz de la cantora, quien confiesa su pasi\u00f3n por esta experiencia de escuchar adentro c\u00f3mo cantan los poemas que elige y la eligen, para que contin\u00faen resonando tambi\u00e9n desde la m\u00fasica.<\/p>\n

Luis Vidales, Carmelina Soto, Dolores Castro, Meira del Mar, \u00c1gueda Pizarro, Marga L\u00f3pez, Martha Luc\u00eda Usaqu\u00e9n, Gladys Molina, Fernando Urbina, Carlos Alberto Castrill\u00f3n, Maruja Vieira, son autores que Martha Elena Hoyos viene sumando a su propuesta de poemas hechos canci\u00f3n, y que entrega con el acompa\u00f1amiento de su guitarra o diversos ensambles instrumentales. Cada obra es \u00fanica y despliega un universo sonoro de ingenio sonoro y asombro<\/p>\n

Poec\u00e1ntaros, cuenta en el momento con m\u00e1s de 40 obras, ramaje que ondea m\u00faltiples ritmos y evocaciones, y por supuesto, gritos y susurros po\u00e9ticos que nos conectan con sensibles universos y sentimientos, donde la poes\u00eda se hace canci\u00f3n para acercar mucho m\u00e1s a la gente de todas las generaciones al regalo enorme y transformador de la poes\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Para cada concierto de Poec\u00e1ntaros, Martha Elena selecciona un repertorio que comparte en encuentros nacionales e internacionales de poes\u00eda, salas culturales, universidades, museos y tertulias literarias.<\/p>\n
